Beal staking claim to top area prospect status.

No other area prospect can say that they offers from high major programs like:

Illinois, Kansas, and Purdue but one, and his name is Bradley Beal of Chaminade

College Prep. What makes this news even more noteworthy is that Beal is going

into his sophomore year and has busted on the scene with a strong AAU season

with the St. Louis Eagles Basketball Club. The sweat shooting combo guard with

unlimited range and a high basketball IQ has become a main priority and has

received scholarship offers from the aforementioned schools in the last 2 weeks.

Beal’s great spring got him an invite to the Nike Hoop Jamboree held on the campus

of St. Louis University in June along with over 120 of the top 2010-2012 talents in the country. Beal started for a strong Chaminade team last season and is expected to be one of the team’s main contributors this upcoming season. So with such offers on the table we beg to ask is Beal the top prospect in the area regardless of class. Continue to follow Rameybasketball.com as we bring constant updates on Bradley Beal.

Spotlight on Nathan Scheer

With several mid major schools calling and flocking to watch the sharpshooting

next star from Washington, MO, in 6’4 class of 2010 Borgia High School star Nathan

Scheer who might be the top player in a loaded and solid area class of 2010. Scheer

is a great shooter with range from anywhere on the court, strong basketball IQ, great

competiveness and a college ready body, is the next in a great line of Borgia

standouts that include: Alex Mooseman, Luke Meyer, Josh Warren, and Paul Eckerle.

Scheer averaged over 19 points a game last year as sophomore after a stellar

freshman campaign, and will look to lead a very talented Borgia team towards a state title. Scheer has enjoyed a strong spring/summer AAU season with the Gateway Basketball Club 16U team and is getting strong interest from: Missouri State, Saint Louis, Lafayette, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Evansville, and others. Continue to follow rameybasketball.com as we will keep you updated on Nathan Scheer.

Introducing Connell Crossland

At 6’7 and athletic Crossland is also a very versatile player

that has range out three and can post up and score. A true

wing that competes hard and is very confident, Crossland

has really impressed us a lot this summer and is primed for

a breakout senior season at Hazelwood Central High School.

After transferring into Central from school rival Hazelwood East, Crossland averaged 4 points a game last season on a very balanced Hazelwood Central team that went 18-9 and didn’t have a player average double digit points. Crossland competes on the AAU circuit with the St. Louis Majestics and will open up July in the Hoosier Shootout. We project Crossland as a mid major division 1 prospect for the class of 2009

Duff on the move

6’2 Sean Duff who is one of the class of 2009 top guard prospects has

decided to transfer to Borgia for his senior year. Duff attended Westminster

High School the last three years and led the Wildcats with a 16 points per

game average while hitting 60 three pointers on the year. A family move to

ashington led Duff to transfer to Borgia, who will be one of the top teams in the area regardless of class this upcoming season with junior standouts Nathan Scheer and Tyler Ressell. Duff who competes this summer with the Gateway Basketball Club is a highly considered low to mid major division one talent and is capable of playing either guard spot,

UW-Milwaukee invades St. Louis and gets Boga

6’3 McCluer High School senior standout Lonnie Boga committed to

Head Coach Rob Jeter and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Boga is an athletic and strong guard that is one of the top area class

of 2009 prospects. Boga averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds as a

junior in leading the Comets to a 16-9 record. McCluer is considered

to be one of the areas top teams this upcoming year and will look for

the four year varsity performer to lead the way on a very deep and

talented team. McCluer head coach Erwin Claggett stated that this

commitment could not have happened to a better kid, who did it the right way. Boga and his McCluer High School teammates will be on display in the 2008 Midwest Showdown Shootout on December 13th at Normandy High School.
