Garrett Reeg spotlight

The 6’6 Oakville High School Class of 2010 post player Garrett Reeg first got our attention at the 2009 Rameybasketball.com Battle 4 the Rankings Basketball Showcase in September. Their we saw a physical post player that was relentless on the glass on both ends of the court and showed great footwork as he scored with his back to the basket. Reeg transferred that into a solid junior season that saw him average 11 points and 9 rebounds a game while help leading Oakville to a Class 5A state appearance and a fourth place finish.

Reeg is now fresh off a solid spring with the St. Louis Salukis in his first year of AAU ball. Reeg has impressed several scouts with his play against bigger and more athletic players as at times the very strong Reeg has looked down right dominant.

With the ability to finish above the rim and a good body that he uses well to get great position on both ends of the court, Reeg has been a pleasant surprise and addition to a very solid Salukis team this summer and Reeg hopes to continue to feed of his success as he gears up for the pivotal evaluation month of July.
